It's a very sad day as we say goodbye to our Grosvenor multi storey car park. After two years and a figure of around £4,000 raised for St Luke's Hospice we are closing the doors of this Sheffield City centre car park due to a demolition order. Sheffield City centre will not be the same without the iconic Grosvenor building.
This means the loss of donation to St Luke's so we are hopeful that we can find another Sheffield city centre site quickly to bridge the gap as St Luke's have to raise £6.1 mission a year just to keep the doors op[en to the terminally ill people of Sheffield.
Peter Hartland, Chief executive of St Luk'es Hospice said "Each month we receive a very generous donation of approximately £450 form Bank Park and the demolitonj of the car park and loss of donation will have a massive effect on our fundraising.
We truly value the support of Bank park as a charity partner to St Luke's and a new car park is essential to replace the income that our charity expects to lose from the closure of this car park".
