BANK PARK AND DECATHLON GIVE CHARITY EXTRA COVER
There’s no stopping local company Bank Park who recently topped £55,000 with their latest donation to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. Ashley Kelley, MD of Bank Park was bowled over when he visited the hospice in 2012 and looks for every opportunity to support the charity. A donation of 5% of the proceeds from all car parking fees across their growing portfolio of car parks in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire is donated to the charity, helping to make a real difference to local children.
The latest donation of £1,692 includes match funding, pound for pound, given by Decathlon in Sheffield for the money raised through their car park. Liz, Operations Director of Decathlon, commented “Ashley has inspired us to get involved with Bluebell Wood – who are now our nominated charity – we are delighted to be able to help such a worthy cause.”
Ashley from Bank Park said “It’s amazing that Decathlon have followed our initiative to support such a worthwhile local charity, and contribute a further 5% to the total raised in their car park. Bluebell Wood is an amazing place which is reliant on support from the public and we just want to do what we can to support them”
Helen Mower, Head of Fundraising at Bluebell Wood said “The support from Bank Park has been amazing. Their contribution helps us to provide the best possible support in often very difficult circumstances for our children and their families.”
